Sometimes, many times, when you do a newborn shoot, the baby is just not happy about all of the fuss. Fights sleep and then eventually these sweet babies will tire out and go to sleep. But this beautiful baby girl was so calm and so awake the whole photo shoot! It was amazing. She was just so happy to be awake. Didn't cry when I moved her and was happy to be changed and moved around all we needed. She was a dream!!!!
And her beautiful big sister!!! She was so cute and camera ready and LOVES her baby sister and her raisins! ;)
And here are some of my favorite photos from the photo session!

Lauren and I have known each other since high school and now we literally live less than 2 miles away from each other! Lauren is one of those people that is just so put together. Even if there is something going on with her, you would never know! She is always impeccably dressed, hair is perfect and always wearing a smile. She has been like the the whole time I have known her!
When she asked me to shoot her family photos... I was OF COURSE nervous. This is an old friend. The kind of shoot that you CAN'T do a bad job on. You have to show your high school friends that you know what you are doing and your good at it! HA!
Well... I hope I did that for you Lauren. Your girls are so adorable, you are impeccable as usual and your husband was so patient with us! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!!!

My friend Suzanne asked me to do her family photos. Any photographer out there knows that the most nerve racking sessions are the ones you do of your friends families! You want them to be perfect. You want to show them that you know what your doing! HAHA! But more importantly, you want to show the love and beauty that is in their family. Suzanne's family is absolutely NO EXCEPTION. I was so lucky, when I walked into their home, everyone was so welcoming and warm. You could see this is a family connected. I feel like we all hit it off so quickly!
And the photos, I hope, show how lovely and sweet this family really is! Thank you Suzanne for trusting me with your family memories! I hope they are what you envisioned!!!!

Not only does this baby have the best head of hair, but so does his mamma!!!! Seriously! And his name fits that head of hair perfectly!
I really enjoyed shooting Dylan and getting to hang out with his family. The best part of my job is meeting amazing people and helping capture priceless moments in time for them.
Here is your amazing baby Brittany! He is as beautiful as you are!
Congratulations!

Naila is my PiYo (Pilates and Yoga) teacher, my friend and we both have sons taking martial arts. Our paths cross all the time. So when she told me her husband was about to deploy and she wanted to do a family photo, I understood the importance. I used to be in the Air Force and know the importance of keeping family close. The strength that is gives a person when they are deployed to have that photo of your family near. The strength it give to the family at home to have that photo to see dad or mom while they are deployed. It is important and I was proud to do this for them.
Thank you to all military members, for your service. I will be announcing a military sell soon.

Naila... here is my favorite shots from our very quick and fun session!!!

And so was the first one! I did a photo session with this family of their oldest son a little while back. I remember thinking, it just doesn't get any cuter... well, this time he seemed to be EVEN cuter! (if that is possible) It was amazing. The same big, beautiful eyes, the same full lips. He is really just a beautiful boy. And the new addition to the family, his little brother, is just as adorable. And a spitting image of his father. This is such a great family to know and to photograph.
And Julia, she really made all the photo sessions I did in Aviano possible. She told all of her friends that I was coming to town, gave them my information and helped to figure out the schedule. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit all of them in. But the ones we did do were really amazing.
Julia, thank you for trusting me again with your family's memories and with those of your friends. You are a great friend and client!

Seriously, I do. You know, sometimes you do a photo session and it can be the first time you meet a couple and their family. Well, with this family, I felt like I had already known them. It was so comfortable and it was, honestly, alot of fun! If I lived in Aviano right now, I am sure Chelsey and I would be friends! She is a great mom and really, just a cool person. And her husband is such a nice guy... and he is a fan of the camera! He had a better camera than me (duck)... I tried to trade him, but he wasn't having it... Darn it. But he was so nice to let me shoot with it some!
I just wanted to tell you guys that I really enjoyed meeting you! You are both amazing people, and your sons are beautiful!!!!

This is quite possibly one of the most beautiful families I have shot in a while. All three of them looked like they walked off the page of a magazine. Amazing.
And I have to say, after all the editing was done from my sessions in Aviano, I saw my art in this session more than any other I have done in a while.
This little guy had a smile, that when he gave it to you, lit up the whole room. He was everything that I know little boys to be! Adorable, strong willed and full of energy!

One of my beautiful maternity clients/great friends, Cherie, had her baby this past week. I got a chance to visit her, her husband and baby Kian in the hospital with some friends, Juan and Anna Femath. Juan and Anna do videography and video production and they are truly amazing at what they do. You can find their work by visiting http://www.femath.com/ .
I worked with Juan while I was at Combat Camera, during my time in the Air Force. Juan helped me to put together a few family videos and I have always been in awe of his editing abilities. It is always an honor when I see my work in his videos. I have to say, Juan has found his match in Anna! She is the Ying to his Yang and she really is a talented and amazing person!
The video you are about to watch is shot and edited by Juan. The photography featured in it is my work. It is really moving. What a great memory for our friends.
And, most importantly, we would like to welcome Baby Kian to the ever growing Combat Camera family!!!!

Kian Myles, born 12 May 2009, at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Springs MD, at 8 lbs. from parents Myles and Cherie Cullen. Photography by Beth Caporaletti. Video shot on DVCPRO HD with the Panasonic AGHVX200. Congrats to the Cullen family!
